Obituary of Alec John Gujban

Alec passed away peacefully on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the age of 96. Loving husband of Hella for 42 years and his late wife, Marion. Cherished father of Jeanne (late Michael) Abrahams of Oakville and John Gujban of Essex. Grandfather of Audrey (Stuart) Tomes and great grandfather of Liam. Dear uncle to George (Connie), Elizabeth (Andrew), Michael (Olga) and Paul. Alec will be missed by his good friends Brenda and Dennis Farnham. A special thank you to Brenda and Dennis for their care and support. He is predeceased by his sisters Anne (Julius) Orosz and Rose Mary (George) Papp. Alec was a dedicated employee of Bell Canada, where he retired after 33 years. He was an original founding member of the Horn Lake Hunt Club and a long time member of the Windsor Sportsmen Club as an avid fisherman, hunter and golfer. Alec enjoyed many winters in Florida with his wife, Hella. He had a passion for travelling and traveled around the globe. Alec had an exceptional memory. He loved to share stories about his life experiences and adventures, especially with his great nephews and great grandson who have carried on his passion for the outdoors. Donations in Alec’s memory can be made to the Hospice of Windsor Essex. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1100 Division Rd., Windsor.
