I just learned of the passing of Heidi through Chris, her brother, who with great work, found me on facebook. Heidi and I lost contact for many years but I have often thought of her. Many memories, many stories sitting around her kitchen table, her mom’s kitchen table having our “Special Moments “ as we called them… rather a cup of tea or “Maxwell House “ Orange Cappuccino. I am so very saddened to hear of her passing, my deepest condolences to her mom Katherine, brother Chris and family. Stacey Rockum

One day in the lunch room, we had subs from subway provided by the company. I was commenting it was too much bread for me. She gave me a disdainful look and said you can never have too much bread! You can just have bread and butter and be in heaven. Well Heidi enjoy your bread you deserve it. Miss you.

For Kathleen and Chris and family. My heartfelt condolences to you. There was no-one quite like our Heidi. Our friendship was shorter than it could have been. But we laughed and shared dreams together and laughed at the world. I loved working with her, she always had mints!! I will miss you, you had a kind heart, you were brave and you fought long enough. One of my favourite memories, and one we always talked about, was how she put me in a milk crate when I was younger and tried to give me away to the mailman. Well I’m glad that didn’t work because she always had time for me, always supporting me no matter what. She stood up for me when no one would. Although she was always jealous of me getting the attention because I was the younger one, she always had my back. May your soul be at peace. Rest big sis, you are no longer in pain. I love you and I’m so proud of how you fought!! Now, I’ve got your back!! Love you.

That made laugh! I can imagine Heidi relaying that story! She had a special spot in her heart for Chris. She was elated to become an Aunt to Caleb. Sending love to your family.

I was shocked and very saddened to hear of Heidi’s passing. We met in high school at St. Thomas Aquinis. Heidi took me under her wing and we quickly became best friends. She was smart, funny, vivacious and a longtime friend. Wherever we were in life, she would always send a Christmas card to wish me and my family well, which I loved to receive. I have so many fun memories to cherish. R.I.P. my dear friend. You will be missed by all who knew you. Love Jana.. or Banana as you always referred to me as❤️
