Obituary of Alexander Glancy
Alexander Hamilton Glancy, 67 passed away peacefully on September 20, 2023 surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous battle with Liver disease.
Alex was born in Glasgow, Scotland, moved to England as a young boy, and then immigrated to Canada with his young family. He had been married to his loving wife for 43 years and they had four children together.
Alex was a dedicated father, loving husband, and the cornerstone of his tight family unit. He was proud to serve in the British Royal Airforce, after which he continued his career as an Overhead Linesman and High-Voltage Electrician. He was a hard worker, loved being surrounded by family and friends, always ready to share a good laugh, he was quick-witted and devilishly charming.
Alex is survived and will be lovingly remembered by Helen, his wife of 43 years, his four children, Kirstine (Derek), Andrew, Arlene and Andrea (Dane) and his seven grandchildren, Aria, Blakely, Jaxon, Jaidyn, Jazmyn, Cruz and Collins.
Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 5:00 pm until time of Alex's Celebration of Life at 7:00 pm in the Chapel. Cremation to follow.
