It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of Ed Skarbek at the age of 93. Beloved son of the late Frank and Veronica Skarbek. Waiting in heaven his sister Irene (Gerry), brothers Ted (Stella) and Stan. Cherished Unk of Glenn and Sue, Karen, Randy, Krista and Carey, Susan and Gord, Ted and Joanne, Tom and Patti, the late Carol, Weazel and Laurie and families. A special Great Unk to Kayla and Stevin, Kelsey and Brandon, Mitchell and Victoria who spent countless holiday, bbq's and birthday celebrations together. Unk worked for Ford Motor Company in the customs office and was blessed with 43 years of retirement. In his retirement Unk enjoyed working along side his family, movie night, many wonderful meals and celebrations. He loved to travel and when you heard the words "hey we're going on vacation" you couldn't wait to pack your bags. We will forever miss his kind soul, hearing his favorite words "let's go eat" and his unwavering love for his family. Kiss everyone for us Unk, we miss each of you every day. Visiting at the Windsor Chapel (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E (519)253-7234 on Saturday September 23, 2023 from 10am until time of remembrance at 11:00am. Entombment and committal prayers to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Ed's memory may be made to the Windsor/Essex Humane Society.
