Obituary of Elizabeth Bordignon
In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Bordignon.
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Elizabeth Bordignon, on September 18, 2023. She left us peacefully, surrounded by her family, after a life well-lived and filled with love and laughter.
Born on July 4, 1939 in South Porcupine, Ontario, Elizabeth was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey through life was a testament to her faith, unwavering strength, boundless compassion, and unyielding devotion to her family and friends.
Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on through her children, daughter Christine Colarossi (nee Bordignon), and husband Frank Colarossi, and son David Bordignon, and wife Jackie Bordignon (nee Bachmeier). Her grandchildren, Sidney, Amanda, Nellie, and Benjamin, whom she adored more than words can express, will continue to keep her memory alive. Her wisdom will guide us, and her love will sustain us through the difficult days ahead.
In this time of sorrow, we find solace in knowing that our mother is now reunited in heaven with our dearly departed father, Giuseppe Bordignon. Knowing that he is there to welcome her, gives us great peace.
Elizabeth also leaves behind dear friends Joan and Terry Bachmeier, Mae and John Bonato, Penelope and Burt Hayes, and all her beautiful friends at Royal Marquis Chartwell. We also wish to acknowledge all of the wonderful family and friends Elizabeth was blessed to have in British Columbia and Ontario, as well as overseas in Italy and Australia.
A funeral mass celebrating Elizabeth's life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, 4401 Mt. Royal Dr., Windsor. Visitation will proceed the mass beginning at 9:00 am at the church. Friends and family are invited to join us in paying tribute to her remarkable journey and sharing the love we all have for her.
She will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and her memory will serve as a reminder of the incredible woman she was.
