DAY, Catherine Marie (Nee Meunier) Born April 22, 1969 in Windsor. Passed away September 8, 2008 at Barbara Anne Karmanos Cancer Institute - Detroit at the age of 39 years. Loving and cherished wife of David Michael Day. Beloved daughter of John and Barb Meunier of Amherstburg. Dear daughter-in-law of Bill and Judie Day. Loving sister of Tom Meunier (Carolyne) of Harrow; John Meunier Jr. (Michelle) of Harrow; Dan Meunier (Nancy) of Amherstburg. Sister-in-law of Anne-Marie Botterill (Nick) of Germany; and Christine Day of Windsor. Loving aunt of Josh, Rodney, Jaime and Dean. Also survived by many cousins, and close friends. Catherine was employed as a Bone Marrow Transplant Technician at Karmanos Cancer Institute where she was diligent at searching for a cure for leukemia and other stem cell related cancers. Her favorite pastimes were knitting, cross stitching and caring for her three precious cats, and being with close family and friends. Catherine was a collector of Precious Moments Figurines. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Wednesday at 3 p.m. Relatives and friends will be received for visitation on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (4401 Mount Royal Drive) from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens.
