Obituary of Norma Sleiman

SLEIMAN, Norma (nee Rizk) It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Norma, a loving mother, teta and sister, on September 1, 2023, at the age of 70. Norma is reunited with her beloved husband Michel Sleiman (2018). Loving and devoted mother to Mark Sleiman and wife Joelle. Cherished grandmother "teta" to Lavina and Ayahna. Predeceased by parents Antonio and Rosalia Rizk. Dear sister to Maria Alty (late George), Teresa Rizk, Isabel Lahoud (Baccus), Nelly Ghanem (Joseph), Lourdes Jabbour (late Tony) and Maroun Rizk (Anahid). Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Lebanon, Australia, Jordan and Arab Emirates. Norma was a self-employed interpreter who . assisted the Canadian Border Services Agency throughout the years. She was also a former teacher back home in her native country of Lebanon. Norma was a faithful member of St. Peter's Maronite Church, St. Charbel Church, and the Confraternity of the Immaculate Conception. She will be remembered as a cherished member and dear friend in the local Lebanese community. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to the staff at Hospice of Windsor and the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre for their exceptional and compassionate care provided to Norma. (519) 253-7234 on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Parish prayers at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10:15 a.m.from the funeral home then in procession to St. Peter's Maronite Church (166 Tecumseh Rd. W.) for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
