Obituary of Yvonne Lavin

LAVIN, Yvonne (nee Mayrand) Passed away peacefully at home in the loving arms of her family on September 4, 2023 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of Donald for over 41 years. Loving mother to Leo Pitre (Valerie Fracchioni), Cheryl Davies (late Paul 2022), Marie Fortier (Perry), Philip Pitre (Rosy), Larry Pitre (Cheryl). Stepmom to Pam, Dawn and Ken. Cherished grandma to 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Wilfred and Irene Mayrand. Dear sister of Marie Lou Haskell (late Kenny 2009) and the late Shirley Marion (1997) and Susanne Mayrand (2019). Survived by brother-in-law Don Smith. Also survived by many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family. Yvonne devoted her life to her children, she always loved cooking, playing cards and enjoyed watching them play in the pool. She owned and ran the canteen at Green Giant for many years. She was well known for her homemade soup and her chili. A special thank you to Stacey Manzerolle and Amanda Pitre for their loving care and support to us as a family. Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home Banwell, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., Tecumseh (519-253-7235) on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 12:00 noon until the Chapel Service at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
