Passed away peacefully on August 24, 2023 at the age of 94 years. Reunited with his wife Leona (Nee Nantais) (1997). Dear father of Sandra (Dave) Fish, Michael (Vicki) Janisse, Richard (Charlene) Janisse, Stephen (Maureen) Janisse, Yvonne (Gerry 2016) Hebert, John Janisse and Philip (Yvonne) Janisse. Dear grandfather of Bryan (Shawna), Darryl (Cindy), Jordan (Jade), Joel, Katie (Aaron), Justin (Zhenya), Sean, Taylor (Courtney), Matthew (2021),Emilee and Adam. Dear great grandfather of Leona, Samantha, Addilyn, Emmett, Sylvie, Rocco, Vincent, Oliver and Theodore. Dear son of the late Tancrede & Viola. Dear brother of Clarence (Lois) Janisse and Sr. Marceline Janisse (Sisters of St. Joseph). Predeceased by Harriet Desmarais, Amedee (Midi), Loretta Quinlan, Lawrence, Roland, Leo, Wilfred, Adolphe, Rita Markham, and Norbert. Dear Brother-in-law of Phyllis and Pauline. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Jim retired from Bell Canada after 38 years of service, member of the K of C Council 4924. Special thanks to his longtime caregivers Devan and MJ.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel - Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd E) on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 2pm to 5pm and 6pm to 8pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, September 8, 2023 at St. John Vianney Church (385 Dieppe St) from 10am until the time of Funeral Mass at 11am. Procession will follow to Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Hospice of Windsor
