Obituary of Dorothy Delia Gauthier
GAUTHIER, Dorothy Delia (nee McNorton)
On August 4, 2023 at the age of 89, Dorothy was placed in the hands of our Lord. She is reunited with her beloved husband, Albert, her son Paul and daughters Sheila Deziel and Beverly Gauthier.
Forever in mourning are her daughters, Cheryl Gravel (late Sandy MacEachern), Debbie (late Tom) Bell, Geraldine, Camiel Gevaert, Bernadette and David Ruggaber and Sharron and John Kwaitkowski. Meme to several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will greatly miss her.
Dorothy was born to the late Harry and Louise McNorton in 1933. She is predeceased by sisters Virginia (late Tom) Forsythe and Linda Drouillard.
She is survived by siblings Bernard (Barb) Gauthier, Andrea Gauthier, Helen (late Robert) Lajoy, and Lilyann (late Francis) Rock, sister in law Anna and Ernie Bridgen and brother-in-law Ray.
Predeceased by in laws Robby, Gilbert (Laurette), Archie (Claudia), Adeline (Bob) Hatch, Alice (Ed) Tetreault, Norman (Pat), Janette (Aurele) Drouillard, Ernest (Vina) Mary (Victor) Baillargeon and Leo (Carol).
Dorothy was a member of the Red Hat Society, Ladies Auxiliary and KCells of Knights of Columbus #2275.
Her last years were spent at Season’s Lakeshore, where she met so many new friends to play cards with and share time with. She was a very social lady and will be missed by many.
We would like to give special thanks to the staff of Erie Shores Hospital and Erie Shores Hospice. The hospice volunteers and staff are true angels and we are so grateful for the care you gave our Mom.
Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Location, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., (519-253-7235) on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. - with Parish Prayers at 4:00 p.m. The family invites everyone to gather for a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Good Shepherd Parish, 462 Advance Blvd., Tecumseh on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery.
