Obituary of Mary Lumley

Mary P. Lumley August 15, 1943 - August 2, 2023 Passed away peacefully on August 2, 2023 at the age of 79. Dear wife of Chester for 18 years. Loving mother of Kevin (Kim) and David. Cherished nonna of Kayla, Stephanie, Krista (2019), Beau, Austin, Sharon, Diane and Dan. Beloved bisnonna of Jamie, Jase, Josie, Nash, Nayvie, Emmett and Nakoa. Reunited with her parents Romolo and Adele Colella and Siblings Igea Torti (Onorio), Nello Colella (Teresa), and Linda Centofanti (Frank). She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Born in Casalvieri, Italy. Mary worked at Mappins for over 30 years selling jewelry. She was a lover of travel going many places around the world and taking many cruises. An avid gardener and a lover of books. Mary will be missed for all chats she provided to family, whether it was a listening ear or giving advice. Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home, Central Chapel, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519-253-7234 on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Visitation will continue at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church (1991 Norman Rd) from 9:30am until the time of Funeral Mass at 10am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer Society of Windsor-Essex County.
