Obituary of Elzira Rodrigues

RODRIGUES, Elzira (nee Barbosa da Silva) Passed away August 30, 2008, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Laurenio (1979). Loving mother of Aurelio and wife Marilda, Antonio and wife Maria Helena and the late Jose (1996) and survived by his wife Fernada, of Hamilton. Cherished grandmother of Aurelio Paulo, Michelle Rodrigues, Monica Cacilhas and husband Tony, Helena Nunes and husband Leonel, Diana Rodrigues, Paul Dinis, Elizabeth and Jason. Dear great-grandmother of Kelly, Rodrigo Cacilhas, David Nunes and Selena Dinis. Dear sister of Jose Barbosa da Silva and wife Laura, of Oakland, California. She was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Elzira is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was a longtime member of the Portugese Seniors Centre. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Prayers Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. Relatives and friends will be received Wednesday September 3, 2008 at the Our Lady of the Atonement (2940 Forest Glade Dr.) from 9:30 a.m.until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
