I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to the family of Sister Marie and SNJM. Sister was a classmate at Grace Hospital. We are so grateful for her love, She was 40 years old living in a residence of 19 & 20 year old girls. Imagine??? I visited Sister with two other classmates on June 7th. On occasion I drove Sister to our Grace Hospital Alumnae Dinners. This year will be our 50th Reunion. We brought Sister Marie red roses - symbolic of our Graduation Roses and diabetic chocolates. We spoke of our families and our classmates. It is with deep gratitude and love that we had this time with her but profound sadness that it was our last time together. Tribute to Sr Mary by her friend Jacquie Soulliere Sr Marys’ Reflection when visiting her at Devonshire residence August 18, 2022 shortly after a health crisis “ Monday August 15, 2022 - from Maryknoll Magazine July/ August edition p. 67 Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary “ "Yes death has been defeated. It is over. Done. Destroyed. We still experience the end of our earthly existence, but it’s not like the snuffing out of a candle. It’s more like “ falling asleep” and waking up in the loving embrace of of the Lord. ( see 1 Corinthians 15:6) Mary’s Assumption shows that Jesus will keep the promise He made at the Last Supper. “ I will take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be “ ( John 14:3)." Sr Mary then highlighted the following: “ Try to imagine what heaven will be like. Let any fear of death fall away as you picture yourself joining Mary, the angels and saints, , and your own loved ones. “ “Try to capture a sense of beauty , the awe, and the love that will envelop you when you finally see the Lord face to face . Forever.” “ All praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ, for your victory over the power of death itself!” ———————————————————————————————————— Sr Mary went on to say “ I imagine heaven will be an experience of being enraptured by the Love of GOD where nothing else will matter but this. Sr Mary had the face of Radiance and Light as she smiled and looked upwards towards heaven. When seeing Sr Mary at Hospice this July 22, 2023, shortly after her death, I witnessed her face reflecting this same smiling radiant image. Sr Mary was home and “ enraptured by the love of GOD” Love you forever Sr Mary from Jacquie and Jerry Soulliere PS- Jerry misses making pork chop dinners for you each week

Our heartfelt condolences to her entire family. She was a good friend. She was funny, and very giving. She always sent the most beautiful cards during the holidays with the promise of prayer. That was very special to me. She was very special.
