Obituary of Ruby M. Robertson (nee Wearmouth)

Formerly of Essex, Ontario. Passed away peacefully on July 22, 2023 at the age of 99 after a brief illness. Reunited with her beloved husband Bill (1998) and her daughter Maryalice Tofflemire (2010). Loving mother to Gavin (Lorayne) and mother-in-law of Ted. Proud Grandma to Kerri (Ken), Jay (Shelley), Kim (Mike), James (Greta), Kelly, Heather (Brian), Rachel, and Jeff (Ruby). Gran-Gran to 15 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sisters Marjorie Nesom and Sybil Phillips. Ruby was a war bride and a life member of the Women’s Institute. She was a faithful, long-serving, devoted organist and member of the Anglican Church. Ruby was a remarkable volunteer and patron of charities too numerous to mention. The family would like to thank all at Kensington Court, Windsor for their devotion to Ruby. Arrangements have been entrusted to the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME - Banwell Chapel (519-253-7235). Celebration of Life: family and friends will be received at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church (5280 Howard Ave., Oldcastle) on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 10:00 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 am; Rev. Colin Pearce officiating. Interment and luncheon to follow at St. Stephen’s. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ruby may be made to St. Stephen’s Anglican Church.
