Dear Judy: We were sorry to read of your dad's passing. It doesn't matter how old or unwell they are or how ready they are to go.They are still our parents and we miss them. Both our dads fought in the war and that certainly adds another dimension to the fine brave people that they were. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Just in case you don't recognize the name, we are Wanda's next door neighbours and Kevin and Danielle's sitters from time to time.

It is times like these that we reflect on the impact fine men have on our lives as young people. As a young boy growing up in the 50's life was hard and uneventful. Thoughts of vacation during the summer meant long days of boring activities with no end in sight, but the men of Branch 12 gave their time and resources to give youngsters like me a better summer to remember. I played on the Orioles for 5 years from 1959 to 1962 and enjoyed everyday of it. Although Mr. Newbold was not my coach he was a very impressive member of the opposing team with his tall stature and curly pipe hanging from his mouth. Personaly I like me and the way he showed respect to us the other team. We learned alot from the coaches of Branch 12 and Mr. Newbold, Cap, was a very influencial member of that team.
