Cappucci (née Rosini), Antonietta
September 1, 1930 - July 11, 2023
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our matriarch, Antonietta Cappucci at the age of 92. Antonietta was the loving wife to the late Giovanni Cappucci (1996). Dearest mother to Antonio (Antonette) and Frank Cappucci. Adoring “Nunnu” to Deanna (Agostino) Di Matteo, Tina, John, Robert, and Michael (Elena) Cappucci. Proud great-grandmother to Valerio and Valentina Di Matteo and Dario and Emilia Cappucci. She is predeceased by her parents Giovanni and Maria Rosini and in-laws Antonio and Lucietta Cappucci. Loving sister to Carlo (Elena) Rosini, Nicoletta (late Giuseppe) Cappucci, Adelina (late Aquilino), Amelia (Noe), the late Giuseppe Rosini (late Joann) and Emma (Pasquale). Sister-in-law to the late Vincenzo (Donata) Cappucci, late Pasquale (late Rosinella) Cappucci, late Maria (late Mario) DeDomenicis, late Nicola (Lucia) Cappucci, and late Tommaso (Gilda) Cappucci. Doting zia to many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. Antonietta was born in Carpineto della Nora, Pescara, Abruzzo. In 1965, she immigrated to Canada with her family. In her early years in Windsor, Antonietta took on an array of jobs eventually obtaining employment and retiring from Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellette Campus. In her retirement, Antonietta continued her busy work schedule by cooking for her family and neighbours, tending to her vast garden, and ensuring her house was in pristine condition. Antonietta was devoted to her Roman Catholic faith. She not only attended daily Mass, but also cleaned the church well into her eighties. In her 92 years, she faced the challenges of life with a resolute attitude, unshakable sense of faith, and a resounding work ethic. Today, she is welcomed into the Gates of Heaven and warmly embraced by Our Saviour and her dear husband. The family extends its gratitude to the staff at Huron Lodge, Banwell Gardens, and Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellette Campus for their care over the years.
