My heart goes out to all of you. He will be missed but feel comfort that he is now reunited with your mom (and grandmother). They were wonderful people and like second parents to me and my siblings. Best of friends to my parents. United and bonded through baseball. I will look forward to reminiscing at his memorial. I remember the many Christmas eves, summer BBQs and other events, and, of course, the baseball trips our families shared. These were the best times growing up. Then your already large family grew even larger. When I did run into them over the years, they would always share with me the photos of the newest grandchildren or great grandchildren. They were very proud of every one of you, and what a legacy they created. Mr. D was truly one of the great ones.
