Obituary of Gregory Paul Demers
DEMERS- Gregory Paul
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Gregory Paul Demers on July 1st
2023.
Greg (“Greggy”, “Pugsley” and “Uncle Greg” as he was affectionately called) was known for his
contagious laugh, generosity and energetic personality. He was a loving father to his three
children; Elisa (Tommy), Erica (Dave) and Darren (Ashley) and beloved grandfather to Ariel,
Thomas, Axl, Jake and Madison. He was a cherished brother to Michelle, Janice (John), Renee
(Tim) and Colette. He is predeceased by his parents Dr. Percy and Patricia Demers, and his
brothers Dennis and Thomas Demers and brother-in-law John Gorski. He was also a beloved
Uncle and Great Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Greg enjoyed a long and successful career in real estate for over 30 years; twenty of which he
spent with Deerbrook Realty.
A gifted golfer, Greg experienced all corners of the game. He received a scholarship to the
University of New Orleans, and upon his return worked at Roseland Golf & Curling Club as the
Head Golf Pro. He went on to work at Beach Grove Golf & Country Club as an Assistant Golf Pro
and repeatedly earned the title of Club Champion. He was also a dedicated member and
instructor of the Silver Tee golf family for 16 years. He was well known within the Windsor golf
community where he made many deep and lasting friendships. He could usually be found on
the course, with a drink in his hand and a smile on his face.
Greg was also an avid pool player, and enjoyed playing in various leagues throughout the years,
making many long-lasting friendships along the way. His warm and caring nature endeared him
to everyone he encountered and he will be fondly remembered for all the joy and laughter that
he brought to our lives.

treasured memories on Sunday, July 9th 2023 from 2:00pm- 6:00pm at Brews & Cues (5663
