Jack was born in Chatham, Ontario in October 18, 1930. He grew up in the Maple City where he met and married his one true love and life partner, Shirley. The devoted couple raised three children and worked together to overcome many personal hardships - ultimately setting down roots in Windsor, Ontario after many moves across southwestern and northern Ontario as Jack pursued his ministry as an Anglican Priest.

Jack was an amazing man that lived a truly remarkable and inspiring life. As a husband and father, Granddad and Great Granddad, his love knew no bounds and he set the standard of how to live a humble and giving life in complete harmony with God’s words. Jack maintained a life-long passion for fishing, nature walks, reading, travel, motorcycling and airplanes. He was a true scholar whose brilliant mind sought knowledge from diverse fields especially theology, philosophy and science.

Jack was a devoted servant of Christ and became a spiritual leader of the Anglican Church of Canada. Jack started his service as a deacon in 1956. He was priested in 1957. Jack was appointed the Archdeacon of Essex in 1983 and later named a Canon of the Cathedral in May 1988. On September 19, 1990 he was consecrated Bishop and titled the Bishop of St. Clair. He retired in June 1996 but continued to serve as an assistant priest in the Windsor area for many years after. Through his over 65 years of service to the church Bishop Jack touched thousands of lives and was a true spiritual leader for his many flocks. Countless lives were buoyed by Jack’s kindness and love and there were few places he travelled to where he wasn’t approached with love and gratitude by a past recipient of his generosity and aid.

Jack wrote and published several books that are true reflections of his amazing life’s journey and symbolize his strong beliefs in the goodness of people and the joy of being alive and giving to others.
