Ron and Deb Donaldson Lauren and Katie please accept our deepest condolences. I have known Ed since our grade school days at St. Vincent de Paul. At F.J. Brennan Catholic High School, Ed along with Paul Marchant, Jim Badour and I became what turned out to be friends for life. After school football, late nights in the gazebo, playing late night hockey in Harrow, playing cards, cruising the old Hi Ho - A&W circuit, Abars etc. were the best of times. Mr. and Mrs. Clough were like second parents to me. Mr. Clough made sure we towed the line (he was one of Windsor’s finest) and filled my car with fuel during our years at St. Clair College. Mrs. Clough, my second Mom was very patient with us and her meals and snacks kept us energized. I will never forget Ed. He was a very good friend and I am so fortunate to have had him in my life. We will meet again.

To Lauren, Katie , Ruby and Mike, please accept my condolences of the loss of a great father , brother pepe and I'm proud to say one of my best friends ever. I was shocked when I received the call from John Ray of the passing of one of my best buddies and your dad, brother and pepe. I still can't believe that it's true, Ed and I have known each other since we were kids and we were together so much that we were more like brothers. There was a special group of us that were always together and there isn't enough space to put down on this page to tell our story of growing up together with our closest friends. I have the best and fondest memories with Ed and the gang we all hung out with during the best days of my younger life and we would always get into great conversation reflecting about those great and precious days whenever we got together for a couple of "pops". I'm going to miss him immensely but will always treasure the memories and reflect on the good times. I'm going to miss our phone calls and Emails back and forth to each other especially his humor, you just couldn't have a conversation with Eddy without lots of laughs. He could always take your worst day and make it one of your best just by hanging and sharing a few pops and conversation. I'm so glad my oldest grandson got to meet one of the special people in my life from my younger days, he really took a liking to Ed and thought that we must have had a great time when we were kids. I can't say it enough but I'm really going to miss Ed. Your Pals Marvin and Betty Baumgartner
