Obituary of Giovanni Chiarotti

Born in Bovara, Italy January 6, 1929.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Giovanni on June 8, 2023, at the age of 94, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband to Giuliana with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage. Cherished father to Sandra (Gaetano), Roberto (Lisa) and Tina (Louie). He is reunited with his parents Fiorello Chiarotti and Guiseppina Menicacci. Beloved brother to the late Alfredo, Gina, Ida and Italo. Giovanni will be missed by his sisters in law Paolina and Loretta of Windsor and Pierina, Antonina and Bruna of Italy. Loving Nonno of Sonia (Shawn), Cristina (Pawel), Sabina, Luca, Natalie, Carina, Jessica, Anthony and Matthew. Bis Nonno of Leonardo and Luca. Giovanni will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours in both Canada and Italy. Giovanni was proudly retired for over 30 years from Dominion Forge, and in those years was able to travel the world with his wife and family. Giovanni had a passion for animals, farming and his family. He along with his brothers Alfredo and Italo owned the farm in the city (East Riverside) where they enjoyed raising cattle, pigs, chickens, and many other animals. A special thanks to the staff at WRH-Ouellette Campus 5th floor, and Hospice Windsor for their kindness and compassion. Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME - Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-735-7235) on Monday, June 12, 2023, from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Chapel. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
