Obituary of Sylvester George Tucker

TUCKER, Sylvester George It is with saddened hearts that we express the passing of our wonderful father and grandfather at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital on Monday, February 18, 2008 in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Hazel (nee Jewell) (1994). Loving father of Tom and wife Darlene. Proud grandpa of Linda Burfitt and husband Clint (Salt Lake City, Utah) and Laura Tucker (Windsor). Great-grandpa of Abby Burfitt. Dear brother of the late Whitman and the late Cecil and brother-in-law of Eileen Strome and husband Melvin, Margaret Ella Tucker, Madeline Jewell and Michelle Jewell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Syl was a former employee of L. A. Young Spring & Wire, Chrysler Canada and Kendan Manufacturing and served in WWII as an aircraft instrument mechanic with the RCAF while stationed in Penfield Ridge, NB. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 5 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Windsor Downtown Mission or the Heritage Park Alliance Church Memorial Fund.
