Obituary of Norma Lydia Popovich

POPOVICH, Norma ( nee Minello ) Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Februrary 17, 2008. Born in Windsor on October 29,1931. Beloved wife of Louis. Loving mother of Christopher and wife Ruth, Gregory and wife Nancy, Mary and husband Martin Deck, Matthew and wife Kerry Jach. Devoted Nonna of Elizabeth, Natalie, Maya, Benjamin, Anthony, and Alyssa. Dear sister of Renaldo and wife Mary, Laura and late husband Gerry Lemire. Predeceased by her parents Giuseppe and Marcella. Will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews in Canada and the U.S., and by countless dear friends and colleagues. Norma was a member of St. Angela Merici Church, the Catholic Women's League, a Minister of the Eucharist and the Liturgy, a member of the Pastoral Care Group, and the prayer group " Gesu del ' ascolto." Norma was also a proud member ot the Association Trevisani nel Mondo. The Popovich Family would like to extend our appreciation to the doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, especially Maureen and Dr. Alam. The dedicated nurses at St. Elizabeth's provided exceptional home care. We will never forget your kindness , guidance and encouragement. Special thanks go to Ieny and Mary Jane, Sherry and Lisa. Visitation at the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home 1700 Tecumseh Rd East on Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 3 - 5 & 7-9 PM. Prayers Thursday evening at 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 22, 2008 at 8:45 AM from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church for funeral mass at 9:30 AM. Entombment St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or to the St. Angela Merici Church Building Fund.
