Obituary of Marie Rose Rawlinson

RAWLINSON, Rose ( Blanchette - Harris ) ( nee Renaud ) Peacefully with her family by her bedside on April 9, 2008 at Extendicare Tecumseh in her 92nd year. Predeceased by husbands Al Rawlinson ( 1997 ), Carl Harris ( 1979 ) and George Blanchette ( 1958 ). Loving mother of Mary Ann & husband Mike Balicki - Bayfield, Diana Daguerre - London, Patricia Deleary - London, Therese Sutherland - Windsor , Louis Blanchette - London , Larry & wife Judy Blanchette - Casselman , ON and Sandra Anstett - Windsor. Cherished grandmother to 20 grandchildren , 19 great - grandchildren and 1 great-great grandaugther. Predeceased by her brothers & sisters Orville, Thomas, Obdulie, Emile, Alfred, Ernest, Arthur, George " Duke " and Agnes. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Rose retired from Metropolitan Hospital in 1981after 17 years working with the Kitchen Staff. Rose loved her family and cherished every moment with them. She will forever live in their hearts. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd East on Friday April 11, 2008 from 2 - 5 & 7 - 9 PM. Prayers Friday evening at 7:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to share in the celebration of Rose's life at St. Anne's Church Tecumseh ( 12233 Tecumseh Rd East ) on Saturday April 12, 2008 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral mass at 10:30 AM. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre. We want to especially thank the staff of Extendicare in Tecumseh, and Dr. Ian McLeod and Dr. Sheehan for their kindness and patience and for the excellent care that our mother received and also to Pastor Ken Boudreau for his kind words and prayers at our time of loss. A heartfelt thanks goes to Fr. Robert Couture of St. Anne's for his inspirational mass and to Stephanie and Nancy Asciak for the beautiful songs they sang in memory of our mother. We would also like to thank the staff of Windsor Chapel for their guidance and all our family and friends who kept us in their thoughts and prayers.
