Obituary of Michael Ramon Ratushny

Photo RATUSHNY, Michael 59 years. It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Michael, into the warm embrace of our Lord, on April 4th after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family at the Hospice Residence. Loving son to the late Michael Ratushny and surviving mother Anne. Cherished brother to Julianna and Bob Petruk, Joe and Karen Ratushny, and Orisia and Rick Vittone. Beloved uncle to Rob and Taisa Petruk; Joe, Scott, and Brianna Ratushny and Christopher Vittone. Dear spouse to Kathleen and friend to Cody. Michael was an employee of Hiram Walkers and a former Ontario Provincial Police Officer. Michael was an avid hunter, adventurous cook, and smooth dancer. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Sunday, April 6, 2008 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Panakhyda (prayers) Sunday 8 p.m. Family and friends will be received on Monday April 7, 2008 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church (1505 Langlois St. at Shepherd St. E.) for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Rt. Rev. Eugene Halitsky officiating. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County or Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church Building Fund. Special thanks to the caring staff of the Hospice Residential Home and to the Oncology Team at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, especially Dr. Yoshida and Dr. Albus.
