Obituary of Enrichetta De Candido
DE CANDIDO, Enrichetta It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Enrichetta De Candido (nee Nicodemo) . After a lengthy illness "Rica" died peacefully on April 4, 2008 with her loving family at her side, at Malden Park Palliative Care Unit. Rica was born in Morsono al Tagliamento, Italy, immigrated to Argentina in 1949, then to Canada in 1968. Rica was an employee of R.P. Scherer and retired in 1991. She was fluent in three languages; she was an avid reader and a fantastic cook. Beloved mother to Nina and husband Jack Genaro Spadafora, and Nino and wife Lia. Loving grandmother to Daniel, Christopher, Michael, and Melissa. Her children and grandchildren were Rica's pride and joy. Predeceased by her husband Tito (1962), brother Giacomo of Sudbury, Ontario, sister Maria of Morsano Italy, and sister-in-law Hilda of Argentina. Will be missed by brothers-in-law Sergio, Angelin and wife Maria of Argentina, sisters-in-law Danira of Italy, and Eliza of London, Ontario as well as her many nieces and nephews. The De Candido and Spadafora families wish to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at both the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre and the Malden Park Palliative Care Unit for their loving care to our mother. We would also like to thank our relatives and friends for their visits and support throughout these most difficult times. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East on Sunday, April 6, 2008 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services Monday, April 7, 2008 at 8:45 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
