Obituary of Giuseppe Covello a.k.a. Covelli

COVELLI Giuseppe Passed away on May 26, 2008 while lovingly surrounded by his family, Giuseppe Covelli was welcomed into the arms of God. He is survived by his faithful wife and companion of 60 years, Lina Covelli (nee Pugliese). Dear father of Rosa and husband Luciano Bachetti; Leonardo and wife Claudette Covelli; and Tony and wife Connie Covelli. Cherished "Nonno Pepe" of his grandchildren, Elisa and husband Brian Houston, Angela Bachetti; and Joseph, Johnathan and Joshua Covelli. Loving brother and brother-in-law of the late Chiara and Saverio Occhinero; Agata and the late Carmine Covelli; Carmela and the late Salvatore Covelli; Teresa and the late Vincenzo Pugliese, and Emma and Luigi Covelli. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as relatives both surviving and pre-deceased, in Italy. Giuseppe worked for many years in the family business, La Stella Supermarket on Erie St., East, alongside his late brother-in-law, the late Mr. Vincenzo Pugliese. He loved his family with every beat of his very strong heart. His great nieces and nephews know that God has taken a wonderful storyteller to be with him in Heaven. His memory will live on in his devotion to his family, and the ability to touch the heart of everyone he met. The family of Mr. Covelli extends thanks to Toni, Pietro and Stella of Comcare for their genuine care and compassion. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Wednesday May 28, 2008 from 7-9 pm, and on Thursday from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. Prayers Thursday at 8:00 pm. Funeral Service Friday May 30, 2008 at 8:45 am then to St. Angela Merici Church for funeral mass at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
