Obituary of Wesley "Leo" Puckerin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wesley "Leo" Puckerin, who passed away peacefully at the Hospice of Windsor on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the age of 82.

Beloved husband of Judy Sargeant-Puckerin. Loving father of Richard, Carlos (Nicole), and Andy, and cherished stepfather of Shawn Yarde. Proud grandfather of Nicholas, Denzel, Niko, Antoine, Saint, Praise and Rayshawn who brought him great joy.

Dear brother of Joan (Dan) Puckerin-Bozan, Anthony Puckerin, Caroline Puckerin, Peggy (the late Cecil) Corbin, Emerson Puckerin, Thelston Jackman, and brother-in-law of Anthony (Patricia) Sargeant. Predeceased by his sister Diane Puckerin. Sadly missed by nieces (especially Toni (Neil) McEachrane, Amy Sargeant, Angela Sargeant), nephews, and extended family. Leo was also predeceased by his parents, Pearson Gibson and Lenora Puckerin.

Leo was a dedicated employee of Chrysler Canada, where he worked hard throughout his career. He had a passion for travel and especially enjoyed cruising and returning to his beloved Barbados. He loved cars, cooking, dancing, and always took pride in looking his best. In his spare time, he could often be found enjoying a game of solitaire or dominoes, sharing laughter with friends, and making the most of every gathering. His warm personality, sense of humour, and love of life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Leo's Life at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Road East, Windsor) on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Leo's honour to the Hospice of Windsor or ALS Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
