Obituary of Leonard Caza

CAZA, Leonard It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dad, Papa, Brother and Friend, on August 1st, 2026, at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus, at the age of 91. Beloved husband to Irma (nee Sovran) (1986) and common-law partner Madeleine Taylor (2008). Loving and devoted Dad to Catherine "Cathy" Moreau and husband David, Jacqueline "Jackie" Lindsey and husband Gordon "Jr.". Cherished Papa to Matthew, Christopher (Tiffany), Lauren (Michael) and Emily. Dear brother to Cecile "Sis" Kavanaugh-Glabb. Predeceased by parents, Edna Caza (nee Garant) and Omer Caza, in-laws, Elda and Lino Sovran, and siblings Omer "Jr." (2023), Bernard (2012), Richard "Whitey" (2019), Eugene "Gene" (2004) and Walter Baillargeon (2015). Leonard retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Unifor Local 200 and a former member of the Windsor Sportsmen's Club. Leonard enjoyed fishing at Reaume Park in Windsor and he will be sadly missed by his many fishing friends he got to know throughout the years. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to Jessie from the Alzheimer Society for her dedication, genuine care and concern, commitment and friendship she extended to Leonard during his illness. Also, we extend our appreciation to the staff at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus, 4 North, and the staff at Extendicare, Tecumseh for their compassionate care provided to Leonard. Friends will be received for visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234 on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Leonard, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Windsor-Essex County or Windsor-Essex County Humane Society.
