Dear Amy, Niko, Natalee, Nina, and Noah, There are no words that can truly express how heartbroken we are for all of you. Boris wasn’t just someone we knew—he was part of so many of our family’s best memories. Greg will always treasure the days spent with Boris at the racetrack and the pride on his face when he took him to his barn. Denis will forever remember the laughs they shared standing at the glass cheering on the boys. Ben always looked forward to Boris’ next horse racing tip. Keaton will always hold close his last memory of sitting beside Boris in the Soo. It never mattered what jersey the boys wore—we were one hockey family. And Allison will always smile thinking about Boris excitedly inviting her to join all of you in Croatia. What we will miss most is the man behind those memories—his kindness, his generosity, his laugh, and the way he loved his family with his whole heart. That love was felt by everyone lucky enough to know him. Thank you for sharing Boris with us. We will carry his memory with us always and will never forget the impact he had on our family. Amy and family, We were absolutely heartbroken to hear about Boris. Boris was one of the good ones, a true rink dad through and through. He never missed a game, loved his family fiercely, and was one of those people who made the hockey years more fun for everyone around him. He was generous, kind, always up for a laugh, and somehow made cold rinks across Southern Ontario feel like a better place. We will always remember the drinks, the stories, the laughs, and just how much he genuinely loved being there for his family. He will be deeply missed, and we know there will be a huge hole left in the lives of everyone who knew and loved him. Dear Boris, As a child, you left your homeland for a distant country, but you never left our hearts. The memories we shared have remained with us through the years, and we have always carried you with love. When you visited us in Croatia last year, you stood beneath the stars and said there was something truly special about the night sky. We will always remember that moment. Amy and family, We were heartbroken to hear of Boris’ passing. We feel so fortunate to have known him for so many years as both our veterinarian and our friend. Boris was always there for our family, giving so much of himself with kindness, wisdom, and compassion. We will always remember the exceptional care he gave to Cheerio, Willis TJ and Toni also the advice and encouragement he shared as I developed my passion for horses. What always stood out to us was how proud Boris was of his children and the love and support he gave them. He lived his life with generosity, whether caring for animals, helping others, or cheering on his family. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
