Obituary of Geralda DeLuca

With profound sadness and immense gratitude for a life beautifully lived, the family of Geralda DeLuca announces her peaceful passing on June 10, 2026, at the age of 90, surrounded by the love of her family.

Daughter of the late Antonietta Lepera and Saverio Ventura.

Beloved wife of Antonio DeLuca for nearly 67 wonderful years, Geralda shared with him a love story that people write about and dream about. Together, they immigrated from Italy and built a beautiful life founded on love, faith, hard work, and family. Side by side, they created a home that became the heart of generations to come.

Cherished mother of Cesar DeLuca, Antonietta (née DeLuca) and Robert Yustick, and Saverio and Lina DeLuca. A devoted and loving Nonna, Geralda was adored by her grandchildren, Christina (David) Pitts, Alicia DeLuca, Stephan (Liz) DeLuca, Michael (Anna) Mady, Gina (Johnny) Mancia, Geralda (Jacob) Hayes, Domenica (Jordon) Faubert, and Salina (Brandon) DeLuca. She was also a proud and loving Bisnonna to Nyla and David Pitts, Avery and Atlas DeLuca, Matthew Mady, Katherine and Kristopher Mancia, Emersyn, Easton and Finley Hayes, Theo and Hazel Faubert, and Angelina DeLuca-Gattie.

She is remembered with love by her sisters, Maria and Alfredo Laratta, and Antonietta and Giuseppe Pulice; by her brothers, Antonio Ventura and Peppino Ventura; and by her beloved sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Teresa and Luigi Cappelino.

She was predeceased by her sister, Maria Minardi, and brother-in-law, Saverio Minardi.

She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends, all of whom will miss her deeply.

Nothing brought Geralda more joy than caring for those she loved. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, and her love was felt in every dish she made and every life she touched. To know her was to know unconditional love, and no one ever left her table hungry.

She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her beautiful smile, her unwavering kindness, and the deep love she shared with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was the family she built and the love she poured into each generation.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Amy's Helping Hands, Care Partners, the nurses from Bayshore and Hospice for the exceptional care, compassion, and support they provided. Their kindness and dedication went far beyond their hours and expectations, bringing comfort not only to Geralda but to our entire family during such a difficult time. We are forever grateful.

Though she will be deeply missed, Geralda's love will live on in the family she adored and in the countless memories that will be treasured forever.

Forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered.

Ti amo, Moglie, Mamma e Nonna.
