Obituary of Gloria McCaffery

McCAFFERY, Gloria Mary (nee Gorski) With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gloria Mary McCaffery (nee Gorski), on May 15, 2026. Predeceased by her parents Mary (nee Nestiuk) and Chester Gorski, and her husband Chris McCaffery. Beloved mother of David, and step-mother of Stacey (Wayne) and Chris Jr. Cherished sister of Ron (Pauline), Rick (Kathy), and Randy (Nancy). Deeply loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Gloria was a woman of strong Faith, who lived a life of selflessness, generosity, kindness, and service to others. She impacted countless lives as a high school teacher at Herman for 31 years. An Ontario scholar, an accomplished pianist and a member of a Euchre group, she was a woman of many talents. A friend to all, if you lived in Windsor you knew Gloria. She would never hesitate to help others, even if it came at her own expense. Her laughter, strength, courage, and capacity to love were truly special. She will be missed by all. A private family graveside service was held at Windsor Memorial Gardens. A celebration of Gloria's life will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to honour Gloria may be made to the Windsor Goodfellows.
