Obituary of David Couvillon

With saddened hearts the family of David Couvillon announce his passing on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Donna Couvillon (nee Gauthier) for almost 54 years. Loving dad of Kate Couvillon and the late Kevin Couvillon (2010). Devoted brother of Janet Hazlett, the late Marilyn James (2019), Joanne (Sheryl), and Michael (Belinda). Cherished friend and travel companion of over 60 years of Allan and Renée MacKenzie. He will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, and extended family. David dedicated 32 years of service to the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and gave generously of his time through Big Brothers Big Sisters. His commitment to helping others was further reflected in his milestone of donating blood over 100 times. David loved to travel, both before and after his retirement. Always looking forward to the next destination. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234) on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm. A memorial service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 11:00am. Interment to follow. Donations in David’s memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
