Obituary of Josip Janes

JANES, Josip "Joe" Passed away suddenly on April 24, 2026, at the age of 69 years. Josip is predecesaed by his parents Milan and Ljubica Janes, and brother Ivica Janes and his surviving wife Barbara. Loving brother to Viktor Palcic and wife Mary of Windsor, Ruza Maglic and common-law husband, Frank Joseph Mallat of Windsor, Marija Lorkovic and husband Mirko of Kitchener, and Nikola Janes and wife Katica of Belle River. Dear brother in-law to the late Josip Maglic. He will be remembered and missed by many nieces and nephews. Joe was a former employee of Emrick Plastics and retired from Reko Tool and Mould after ,many years of dedicated service. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church. Joe enjoyed bowling and was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234 on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 2:00 - 5:00p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00p.m. with Parish prayers at 7:00p.m. Funeral Service on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 9:15a,m, from the funeral home then in procession to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10:00a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Josip, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church Building Fund.
