Obituary of Francesca Cerroni

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Francesca Cerroni, who passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the age of 83.

Beloved wife of 59 years to Giovanni Cerroni.

Loving mother of Antonella (Enrico) Notte, Louie (Teresa) Cerroni, and Daniel (Michelle) Cerroni.

Proud Nonna of Gianluca, Sabrina, Christian, Olivia, and Alessia.

Dear sister of Tony (Shari) and Jim (Cindy) Tempesta. Loving sister-in-law of Teresa (late Antonio) Carlini.

She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Predeceased by her parents Giuseppe and Maria Tempesta, and her in-laws Luigi and Antonia Cerroni.

Francesca will be fondly remembered for her deep love of family-especially her grandchildren-her famous baking and cooking, her passion for gardening, and her love of her dogs. She worked for many years as a sewer at General Motors Trim before retiring.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Nurse Practitioner Filomena Rowley, the compassionate Hospice team, Nurse Anoop, PSW Kate, and Dr. A. Figaro and Dr. Stephen Rukavina for their exceptional care and support.

Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Road East, Windsor, on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and will continue the next day Monday, April 27, 2026 from 9:30 am until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 am.

The funeral service will be officiated by Fr. Greg Bonin, with entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.

Donations made in memory of Francesca to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Windsor Humane Society would be appreciated.
