Obituary of Pauline May (nee Girard)
Passed away peacefully 91 years old, surrounded by her loving family on April 17, 2026. Reunited with her beloved husband Wilfred (2000). Cherished Mother of Phil (MaryAnn), Raymond, Marie Hawkins. Proud Mémé of Amanda (Cameron), Robert (Kate), Natalie (Brandon), Derek, Grace and Emily. Predeceased by her siblings Ella (Edgar), Orville (Bonnie), Eleanor (Isidore), and brother-in-law Raymond (Mary Jane) and sister-in-law Pauline (Paul). She will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
During her and Wilfred’s retirement, they cherished their time spent traveling within Canada and the United States, especially spending their winters in Florida. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo, and found great joy in painting, crafts, and especially working on puzzles. Friday dinners with her ladies’ group were a treasured tradition, as were Sunday fruit stand visits with her sister-in-law, Pauline. She was also proud to be active with the Teamsters Retirement Group. She remained active at Seasons Royal Oak, where she loved meeting new people and staying engaged in their small community. Above all, she deeply loved and adored her grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Staff of Sandwich Town at Village of Aspen Lake for their dedicated care and compassion shown to Pauline over her 3-year stay.
