Obituary of Leanne Nadeau

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of our mother, Marie Cecile “Leanne” Nadeau, whose life was defined by compassion, faith, and devotion to family.

Born on November 21, 1927 in St. Francois, New Brunswick she passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, at the age of 98.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gilles Nadeau (July 20, 1983), and her daughter, Jeanne Chouinard (Paul) (August 8, 2022). She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Gerard (Heather), Claudette, Daniel (Gay), Gloria, Monique (Richard), and Camille (Aileen).

Leanne was a proud and devoted grandmother to 19 grandchildren, a cherished great-grandmother to 29 great-grandchildren, and a beloved great-great-grandmother to 13 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry her memory forward.

Leanne held a strong and abiding faith that guided her throughout her life. Her greatest joy was her family, and she expressed her love in countless quiet, meaningful ways. “Toujours dans nos cœurs” - always in our hearts.

Known for her strength, warmth, and unwavering devotion, Leanne leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family that will continue through generations.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Road East, Windsor (519-253-7235).

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., Windsor, on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m., with CWL prayers at 3:30 pm and Parish prayers at 4 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Anne’s Parish, 12233 Tecumseh Rd. E., Tecumseh, on Saturday, April 18 at 10 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Internment to follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to a charity of your choice or simple acts of kindness in her memory.
