Obituary of Rosemary Jarvis (nee Mark)

Passed away peacefully at the age of 79, surrounded by her loving family, on April 14, 2026. Beloved wife of 57 years to her soulmate and best friend, Dan. Cherished mother of Karen Myers (Chris) and Cindy White (Alan). Proud grandma and G-Ma of Alison, Daniel, Christopher, Mason and Sarah. Predeceased by her parents, Mary and Clifford Mark, and in-laws, Evelyn and Henry Jarvis. Dear sister of late Larry Mark (Kay), Susan Soutar (Ken), Paulette Boyle (Mike), late Pauline Mark, late Richard Mark (Chris) and sister-in-law of late Patricia Rose (late Ernest), late Abner Jarvis (Margaret), Gertrude Cheverie (late Paul), late Margaret Jarvis, Henrietta Gallant (Andy) and late David Jarvis. She will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In her younger years, Rosemary enjoyed darts and bowling, simple pleasures that reflected her love of time spent with others. After her retirement from Sears, she continued to treasure those connections, especially the lunches she shared with the girls. Those moments often filled with laughter and companionship that meant so much to her.

Rosemary’s grandchildren were the very centre of her world. She loved them deeply and took great joy and pride in each of them. Kind, gentle, and unassuming, Rosemary was the steady heart of her family, their beloved matriarch whose presence brought comfort and togetherness.

The family extends their sincere thanks to Erie Shores Hospice and its dedicated staff and volunteers. Their care, compassion, and kindness shown to Rosemary and her family will always be gratefully remembered.

At Rosemary’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Rosemary’s Life will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral home - Banwell Chapel (519-253-7235).

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rosemary may be made to the Erie Shores Hospice.
