With saddened hearts the family of Fernand Bernatchez announce his passing on Friday, April 10, 2026 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Mary Jane Bernatchez (nee Poupard). Loving father of Colleen Kavanaugh, Fernand Bernatchez, and Charlene Bernatchez (Larry Parent). Cherished grandfather of Candice Kavanaugh, Crystal Kavanaugh (Mike Gray), Cindy Kavanaugh (Jennifer Kavanaugh), Benjamin Bernatchez, Bradley Bernatchez, Morgan Bernatchez, Neil Kavanaugh (Michaela Thibert), and great-grandfather of Cornel Odane Kavanaugh, Janeil Wash, Destiny Brewster, Hailey Trombley, Jayden Kavanaugh-Wallace, Kohen Reynolds, Xavier Kavanaugh-Wallace, Kinsley Thibert, Aria Kavanaugh, Indie Kavanaugh, Roman Yassine, and the late Zahmari Bernatchez. Dear brother of the late Anita Dagget. Fernand will be deeply missed by all who have known and loved him. In keeping with Fernand’s wishes cremation has taken place.
