QUENNEVILLE, Gerard Charles
It is with sad, but loving hearts, we announce the death of a loving husband and father, Gerard Quenneville, on April 11, 2026.
Beloved husband of Marian (nee Markham) and loving father of Mary and Andre. Cherished Grandfather to Peter (Maggie), John (Luciana), David (Gracie) and Cassie (Matthew). Dear Great Grandfather to Viviana and Pia.
Son of the late Alfred and Mary (Lappan) Quenneville. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Raymond (Stella), Beatrice (John) LePage, Isabelle, Emile, Ramona, Fred and surviving wife Barbara, Norman snd surviving wife Gloria, and Robert.
He will be fondly remembered by his wonderful in-laws, Marcia (Ken) McGovern, Kathy (Danny Mayhew) Markham, Michelle (Larry) Janzen and Raymond (Sheilah) Markham.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews including his godchildren, Jamie Quenneville, Jeanne Cooper, William Regnier and Heidi Benson.
Gerard was a dedicated teacher at General Amherst High School for the last 20 years of his career. He was an avid golfer and member at Kingsville Golf and Country Club. He was a caring member of Saint Vincent de Paul Society and truly loved helping families with food and household needs.
A sincere thank you to WRH, Met. Campus, his family Doctor Abdulhameed and his hospice care doctor, Stephen Rukavina for their compassionate care. Also, special thanks to the nurses who helped us and provided loving care to Gerard, especially Cayla and Paula. We couldn't have kept him comfortably at home without these dedicated caregivers snd personal support workers.
A personal thank you to Father Mike Parent for his continual spiritual and caring support extended to Gerard and his family.
Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234 on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 from 4:00 to 8:00pm. A family eulogy will take place at 7:00pm.
Family and friends will be received for visitation on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026 at Our Lady of Mount.Carmel Church (4401 Mount Royal Dr., South Windsor) from 10:00am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Cremation to follow.
