Paul Francis LaPorte

March 2, 1950 – March 31, 2026

March 31 2026, Paul passed peacefully in his sleep at age 76 with his wife by his side. Paul was the beloved husband of Janice (nee Sweetman) of 43 years, a loving father to Rory (David) Lau, and Ryan (Monique) Liebrock, as well as the cherished grandpa to Dereck, Morgyn, Hailey and his grand puppies Teddy, Lucy and Duke.  He will be mourned by his siblings of which include his 2 best friends Tom (Jan) LaPorte, Michael (Carol) LaPorte, several nieces, nephews, friends and work colleagues.

Paul worked for Ministry of Labour as a worker advisor for the OWA for over 30 years. Through dedication, respect and compassion, Paul dedicated his career to achieving the best outcome for his clients. He will live on in the hearts of the many people he has helped.

Apart from the work he loved, Paul had many hobbies that he enjoyed. Some of his favourites included running, biking, boating, and model trains. Paul also enjoyed relaxing in the pool and spending time with his grandchildren and grand-dogs.

His adventurous spirit will live on and he will forever be missed by all whose lives he has touched.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – South Chapel, 3048 Dougall Avenue (519-253-7236) on Monday, April 6, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Cremation to follow.  In lieu of flowers donations to Childcan would be appreciated by the family.  Condolences and memories can be shared online at www.windsorchapel.com
