Obituary of Rev Fr. Michael Richard Michon

Passed away in Windsor, Ontario on March 24, 2026 at 75 years of age.  Predeceased by his parents Romeo and Helen Michon, his brothers William (Bill) Michon, Fr Jack Michon and his sisters Madeliene Mentley, Diane Logan and their spouses.  He is survived by many nieces and nephews and will be fondly remembered by his family, his brother priests, former parishioners and friends.  Father Michon was ordained to the Holy Priesthood at Saint Peter’s Cathedral Basilica in London, Ontario on May 5, 1984 by the late Bishop John Sherlock.  Over the years he served in parishes and communities throughout the Diocese of London and taught many years as Professor of Sacred Theology at Saint Peter’s Seminary in London. 

Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Church, 9399 Townline Road, River Canard on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. to the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.  The Most Rev Ronald Fabbro C.S.B., Bishop of London officiating.  Cremation to follow. Fr Michael's ashes will be laid to rest in the crypt at St. Joseph Church at a later date.
