Obituary of Doris Dupuis (nee Barney)

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on March 12, 2026, at the age 96. Reunited with her beloved husband of over 70 years, Jerry (2024). Cherished mother of Cheryl Marsh (Gary), Rick (Nancy), and Wayne (1977). Proud grandmother of Travis, Sara, Joshua (Mariah), Jayde, Zack (Ashley), Bridget (Ethan), Kelsey, and great-grandmother of Brielle, Lyla, Everly, Lucas, and Alice. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Rosanne Barney, parents-in-law Nelson and Gladys Dupuis, siblings Janette Sequin (Dorious), and Philip Barney (late Betty), and sisters-in-law June Ivison (late Bill), Joan Kendall (Mike), and Carol Emery (Dennis). Dear sister-in-law of Gary Dupuis (Darlene) and Ron Dupuis (late Sandy). Doris will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and her strong faith. She was an active and dedicated member of the Catholic Women’s League at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. A simple soul who enjoyed a simple life, she took great pleasure in baking for others and was especially known for her butter tarts and date squares. She also found great joy travelling with her beloved husband, Jerry, particularly during their winters spent in Florida.

The family would like to thank the staff of Chateau Park for all the dedicated care and compassion shown to Doris during her stay.

At Doris’ request, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date where she will be laid to rest with her dear husband, Jerry, and son, Wayne. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME - BANWELL CHAPEL, 519-253-7235.
