Obituary of Victor Vitali Kruher

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Victor Kruher, who was surrounded by his family at Windsor Regional Hospital - Met Campus on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the age of 88.

Dear husband and best friend to the late Sheila Kruher (née Hudspith) (2019). Loving and devoted father to Debra (Grant) Bouma and Stacey (David) Reaume. Proud grandfather of Justin (Lauren), Bryce (Alana), Breanne (Derrick), Taylor (Andre), and Lauren (Connor); and blessed great-grandfather of Mikah, Marvel, Mathayus, Mareya, and Clarke.

Victor was a wonderful man whose life was defined by patience, quick wit, and a deep love for those around him. He was a devoted husband and a proud family man who cherished his loved ones above all else-his family truly being his greatest treasure.

He carried a genuine zest for life, finding joy in both the big moments and the simple, everyday pleasures. He took great pride in his work as a Tool Maker-a craft he loved and dedicated himself to with care and skill.

Nothing meant more to him than being present for his grandchildren. He never missed a game or practice, always cheering them on.

He had a passion for woodworking, cars, and tinkering in his garage-creating wonderful projects, fixing things, and even sharpening hockey skates.

Victor loved a homemade meal-especially Salmon Thursdays and any kind of baked goods. He was a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Montreal Canadiens, always cheering them on with enthusiasm and determination to see a Super Bowl or Stanley Cup win.

Known as the very best listener anyone could ask for, he made people feel heard, valued, and understood. His kindness and presence will leave a lasting impression.

He will also be remembered for the love he had for his dog, Famous, and forever held in the hearts of all who loved him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of 4 North Telemetry for their care and support during such a difficult time.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Windsor Chapel - Banwell Location (11677 Tecumseh Rd. East, Windsor, ON) on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with Words of Remembrance at 11:30 a.m.

The family kindly asks that guests attend in casual dress and their favourite sports jersey to honour Victor’s love of sports. Donations made in his memory may be made to the Windsor-Essex Hospice. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Windsor Chapel - Banwell Location.
