Obituary of Josephine Teresa Gadoury

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Josephine Teresa Gadoury in her 98th year.

Born in Castelfranco Veneto, Treviso, Italy, on August 16, 1927, Josephine was the cherished daughter of the late Ugo and Italia Baggio. She is now peacefully reunited with her parents, her beloved son Robert Layton (1989), her brother Severino Baggio (2010), and her sister Norma Mascola (2024). Her memory will live on through her many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Josephine spent her adult years in Windsor, Ontario, where she was a dedicated employee at Hiram Walker until her well-deserved retirement. Known for her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit, she was truly well-loved by everyone she encountered. Josephine treasured the moments spent in the company of her family and friends, and found particular joy and peace in tending to her beautiful rose garden.

A special and heartfelt thank you goes out to the wonderful staff at Brouillette Manor for the amazing care, comfort, and support they provided to Josephine over the years.

She will be deeply missed, but the beautiful memories she created will continue to bloom in the hearts of those who loved her.

Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - South Chapel (3048 Dougall Ave, 519-253-7236) on Thursday March 12th 2026, from 10am until the time of Chapel Service at 11am. Burial to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery (5005 Howard Ave).
