Obituary of Sean McConnell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sean McConnell, at the age of 57 years, on Friday March 6, 2026 with family and dear friends by his side. Beloved husband of Karen (nee Mallen). Dear father of Madison and son-in-law Ahmad Mushtaq, and Emma. Dear son of Cathie McConnell and the late Ken McConnell. Dear brother of Brendan and uncle of Spencer and Rhys. Dear son-in-law of the late Pat and Marge Mallen. Dear stepson of Jo-Anne and stepbrother of Richard and Amanda Levesque and Jenny and Will Quibell. Sean was an IT director at IXS (Ground Effects) Michigan, former IT director at Kautex Textron Windsor/Michigan, AP Plasman Windsor, Tepperman's Windsor, Stanadyne Michigan, and VP of IT at Textron Michigan. Former president of the Project Management Institute Great Lakes Chapter, Michigan, former hockey coach to many teams in the Sun Parlour Girls Hockey League and recipient of Coach of the Year 2015-2016. Sean was the Grow on Ambassador for the Windsor Regional Hospital Cancer Centre Foundation. Sean will forever be remembered for his sense of humour and his ability to motivate, mentor and inspire people to achieve their goals.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519-253-7235). Sean was laid to rest on Tuesday, March 10th with immediate family and friends in attendance.  We’re planning a date for a celebration of life for Sean on March 29th (place and time TBD).  This will be a casual occasion for everyone to pay respects to Sean, say hi to myself, Madison and Emma and family.  We hope to see you.
