Obituary of Randy Robin Kettlewell

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Randy Robin Kettlewell, who peacefully entered the Lord's arms on February 24, 2026, at the age of 70. Randy was born on December 17, 1955, in Windsor, Ontario, to Charles and Vera Kettlewell (nee Stoner). He was a cherished son, brother, husband, uncle, and friend whose warmth and humor touched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Randy lived a life rich in love and laughter, marked by his wicked dry sense of humor and a heart as vast as it was kind. He was the epitome of a loving and compassionate human being, whose presence instantly made others feel at ease. To his beloved wife, Diane “DeDe” Kettlewell, he was not only a partner but a best friend and soulmate. Married for 33 years on July 18, 1992, Randy and DeDe were inseparable, sharing countless memories and adventures, including their cherished cruises together.

A devoted employee, Randy dedicated 30 years of his life to Ford as a skilled millwright. His work was not just a career but a testament to his commitment and diligence. Outside the workplace, Randy found solace and spiritual grounding as a longstanding member of St. Mark’s by the Lake, where he and DeDe exchanged their vows over three decades ago. He was a pillar of the church community, known for his benevolent spirit and unwavering faith.

Randy's passion for life extended to his hobbies as well. He was a movie fanatic, who cherished the magic of the big screen, and a true music enthusiast with a particular fondness for Pink Floyd and good rock music, as well as the serene beauty of orchestra music. These interests were a testament to his vibrant spirit and zest for life.

Randy is survived by his loving wife, DeDe; his brothers and best friends who went out for lunch every month through thick and thin; Ron (Joanne) and Tim (Cathie); his sisters Lynn (Tom), Diana (D), Dayle (D), and Kathy (Gene); and many adoring nieces and nephews. Randy's legacy of love and kindness lives on in the hearts of his family and friends. He is predeceased by his dear pet, Max, who met him at Heavens gate.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519-253-7235). A memorial service to celebrate Randy’s life will be held on March 5, 2026, a visiting starting at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service at 11 a.m. All located at St. Mark’s by the Lake (150 St Marks Rd, Windsor, ON) . In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Mark’s by the Lake Church, a place that held a special place in Randy's heart. The family also requested that no flowers be sent as there are allergies.

The Kettlewell family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Ryan Boivin, friends Ruth, Kris, Jack and Eileen as well as the early bird 8 am peeps for their support and kindness during this difficult time.
