Obituary of Robert Burns McGhie

Robert Burns McGhie passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026 with his family by his side. Reunited with his loving wife Amy (2014), who he was happily married for 35 years. Beloved dad to the late Jeff (Nicole) McGhie, Brittany McGhie (Rob), Donald (Jessie) McGhie and Russell (Mary) McGhie. Cherished grandpa to Emily, Cabella, Caleb Van Watteghem, Willow Bobiwash, Evanna, Lina Willson, Ezra Dykens, Russell, late James (2017) and Ronan. Reunited with his parents Donald and Bernice, and sister Barbara Brooker. Burns will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. In his younger years, Burns loved hunting and fishing up North. In his later years he gravitated towards golf where he still got to enjoy the outdoors. Above all, he loved his family and his grand kids meant the world to him. A visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7234) on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. As per Burn’s wishes, cremation will take place at a later date.
