Obituary of Grzegorz Drozdowski

In loving memory of Grzegorz Drozdowski January 4, 1958 - February 2, 2026 Grzegorz (Greg) Drozdowski passed away at WRH Met at 10:50pm on February 2nd, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Grzegorz was born in Dobre Miasto in Poland on January 4th 1958 and was married to his wife, Grazyna Gumowska in 1985. Grzegor grew up with a love for music and often played guitar and sang for his family during camping trips, creating memories that will be cherished forever. He was also a pigeon fancier, priding himself on breeding and raising pigeons for food and also for homing competition. Grzegorz was a massive fan of football (soccer) and played professionally for his city’s team back in Poland for many years. After coming to Canada in 1989, he became a welder and worked on numerous projects throughout the Windsor-Essex region. Known for his joyful spirit and fun-loving nature, he had a way of making everyone feel welcome and at ease. His warmth, laughter, and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He is survived by his grandchildren Aleyah, Elliott and Mara, children: Paula, David and Oliver, sisters: Teresa and Dorota, brother Zdzisiek and his nieces and nephews, who will miss him dearly. A visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7234) on Sunday, February 8, 2026 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 9:30 am - 10:30 am from the funeral home then to Holy Trinity Polish Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Hospice of Windsor-Essex.
