Obituary of Heidi Peruzzo

With heavy hearts, we share that Heidi left us on January 21, 2026, at Windsor Regional Hospital – Metropolitan Campus.  Loving and devoted wife of Elver who shared 53years of marriage together. Cherished and loving mother of Brad, Brian (Natalie), and Nicole. Loving Nonna to Liam, James, Jack, and Nora. Dear daughter of the late Franz and Magdalena Elmauer. Dear sister of Erwin (Wendy) Elmauer. Dear Sister-in-law of Mary Ann (Ross) Ienna. Dear Aunt of Heather (Jason), Jessica (Luis), David (Kelly), Kerry and Erik (Arianne). Dear daughter-in-law to Emma D'Andrea (Achille) nee Peruzzo (Emilio). Dear stepsister to the late Valentino D'Andrea (Wendy) and to the late John D'Andrea (Kate). She will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends and especially her long time friends Dona Asciak and Rosemary Konrad.  

Heidi was renowned as a dog whisperer as attested by Lucy, Nicole's dog, who would never leave her side.   Heidi was a force to be reckoned with as a mother and grandmother -loyal, dedicated, giving, indestructible. She supported our family successes and at times, even accepted the role of "trophy wife" despite some disgruntlements. But really, she was key to the family bond and our overall achievements. She played an important role in the area of chartered accounting, having worked for Walter Francic Professional Corporation.  In this workplace, her organizational skills shone through  and her interpersonal skills brought her strong recognition from her boss and from the public. We would like to thank the staff at Met hospital who attended to her fiercely and professionally.

My heart cries out to the sky asking her to look down upon us and shed her unyielding love to all of us. Good-by my love, my edelweiss forever. 

Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E. (519)253-7235 on Monday January 26, 2026 from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm. Prayers Monday at 4:30pm. Relatives and friends will be received on Tuesday January 27, 2026  at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (834 Raymo Rd) from 9:30am until time of funeral mass at 10am. Cremation to follow.
